Sleepy Hollow Light Tappan Zee - The Sleepy Hollow lighthouse and the the new Tappan Zee bridge are two landmarks that have become synonymous with Westchester County in New York. These two iconic structures, seen from an aerial view, are a part of the local history.
The Sleepy Hollow lighthouse stands tall near the banks of the Hudson River, proudly watching over the waters. Its distinct white and red stripes make it a recognizable feature of the landscape. Built in 1883, the lighthouse has been a beacon of light for ships and boats for over a century. Its light can be seen from miles away, illuminating the waters in the evening.
The new Tappan Zee bridge is a marvel of engineering, connecting Tarrytown and Nyack, NY. Its signature truss design make it a unique structure. From an aerial view, the bridge looks like a snake winding its way across the river below. Its unique shape is quite a sight to behold.
These two iconic structures are the pride of Westchester County.
